The ranking ships when the corpus does.

An annual count of the most-used clichés in public artist bios and press releases, by genre and by label size. There is no table here yet. A made-up top ten would be the thing this index is built to refuse.

Method

What the first report has to include.

Several thousand public pages, collected from sources that already published the copy. Phrases counted only when they could sit in another artist's bio without changing. Split by genre label on the page, and by whether the release carried a major, indie, or self-released mark. Year-over-year once there are two Decembers.

The misses get published too. If a phrase looks like a cliché and is actually a specific claim, it stays out of the rank. Burn Off is the weekly version of the same law.
